Exercise…self control that is…

23 July, 2010

Good morning readers! Or, if you prefer good evening…depending on where you are, this will be the breakfast or lunch, tea, supper, late night snack….whatever…

I like food. Not the ‘eat-all-you-can’ type, but more of the sampler type.

Taking the basic ingredients out of our garden and turning them into something wonderful, I like it even more.

Edible art…but what captures my attention even more, as of late, has been the desire to find out what medicines, vitamins, and minerals our foods have in them to begin with, how to process them to maintain the medicinal/vitamin/mineral properties and something tasty for us to eat. I have worked in restaurant kitchens through my 40 plus years, and found that I do like to cook, but not for a job – heh…kinda like that across the board for most of us?

Anyway, thinking on these particular lines gives us the ability to see the Food Industry for what it really is…A money laundering scheme for Big Agri(culture), Big Pharma (as in the toxins sprayed/genetic manipulation/human testing), Big Federal (USDA, FDA – more subsidized human testing), etc. to line, and fill their pockets at our – the people they take the taxes from – expense. If you are not familiar with this, you should really, really check up on Codex Alimentarious Compliance and it’s implementation into America, via Mr. O and others, while we sadly watched our Gulf of Mexico be slowly destroyed….This was a false flag people…our food, water and air are under ATTACK…by terrorists hiding in plain sight in our government…

Duck! - another one of mom's cakes...

Perhaps someone can equate this movie ‘The Revenge of the Nerds’ to the people-scientists,researchers,politicians initiating ‘ji-had’ to America through our government…I thought these people initially wanted to help; to do something noble, kind, beneficial to all mankind…but see how money, prestige, power (begins with that little paycheck – or loss of it) steers us to do the unthinkable?

What I don’t understand is why – other than, there is more to it.

The grandbaby and I

I believe it is about our souls or our spirits – our eternal lives…it’s the only thing that makes sense. Certainly quite a few of the who’s who and the who’s who? – (hiding in plain sight, or the behind the scenes people…calling the shots, but out of the ‘spotlight’…in darkness – heh) – are involved with some form of worldwide control, new age, pagan, false god, idol worshipping, child/human sacrifice practices. Look at the History books…

Of course, for any of this to make sense, you have to believe in an afterlife first…sorry to alienate agnostics, atheists, humanists, etc…all I can say is we will see...but being involved with spiritual things from a young age, I know there is more than this ‘reality’ and certain arrangement of molecules we exist in now.

Well, here, we have a different type of food, food for the Spirit. Our spirits will never die and will go on, but we need ‘food’ for it as well, so today we are serving up Proverbs 23 for starters…here it is…get it while it’s hot:

Proverbs 23

1 When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what [a] is before you,

2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.

3 Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.

4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint.

5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

6 Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his delicacies;

7 for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. [b] “Eat and drink,” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.

8 You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments.

9 Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words.

10 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless,

11 for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.

12 Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die.

14 Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death. [c]

15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad;

16 my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.

18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

19 Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.

20 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,

21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

22 Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

23 Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding.

24 The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.

25 May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!

26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways,

27 for a prostitute is a deep pit and a wayward wife is a narrow well.

28 Like a bandit she lies in wait, and multiplies the unfaithful among men.

29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?

30 Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.

31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!

32 In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.

33 Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things.

34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.

35 “They hit me,” you will say, “but I’m not hurt! They beat me, but I don’t feel it When will I wake up so I can find another drink?”

Footnotes:

a. Proverbs 23:1 Or who
b. Proverbs 23:7 Or for as he thinks within himself, / so he is; or for as he puts on a feast, / so he is
c. Proverbs 23:14 Hebrew Sheol

Yup, all about self control here…

Cheers!
