Pride goes before destruction

27 June, 2010

‘The Word’ for the day.

Proverbs 16:17-18 (New International Version)

17 The highway of the upright avoids evil;
he who guards his way guards his life.

18 Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.

Let this verse speak volumes to the ‘pride parades’ and and related events happening across America and elsewhere I’m sure. I am not judging anyone, because this is what God says, who am I to disagree?

…perhaps this is a word from the Lord to America?

After all, I can think of a few geographic sites in the past that were destroyed for ‘pride in sin‘- and all that this entails…

Being gay just isn’t natural people, no matter what spin gets put on it. No matter how one tries to rationalize this, it’s not the way God intended for the Human race to survive. Neither is abortion for that matter. Perhaps this is why it has been let go. For de-population. Same with the ‘mechanic chick, sissy boy’ mentality being spoon fed to our youth, while the military – through the use of long deployments (which isn’t technically legal for morale’s sake) unintentionally splits up the ‘traditional God-inspired ways of family’…and I realize there is so much more, but for time’s sake let’s move on, shall we…?

We just need to pray for these (demonically controlled and socially misguided) people that they can be set free from these unnatural desires, and BTW, if ya’ say they were born with this, I’d agree with this only as far as to say the scripture – …”for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God…”, as we were born into the ‘sin nature’ of Adam passed on to the whole human race…(of course that’s my paraphrasing, but I’m sure you’ll arrive to the same conclusion if you read His Word(s)).

Here’s where Command 2 – Love thy neighbor as thyself happens. Not the love of the world and it’s perverted ways, but the way Jesus decided to love us – casting himself to the ground to even be a stumbling block to us, so we would turn from our wicked ways…Love is a decision not necessarily a feeling.

Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might – putting on the whole armor of God so that it can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked tossed at y’all 😉 and I ‘m praying for y’all too! 😉

Cheers!
