The Last Days? Here’s a thought…

24 June, 2010

I was reading this post [found here] yesterday:

“…On the 29th of Tammuz 34 AD, which was the Day of Pentecost Peter said, “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “And it shall come to pass in the Last Days, says God. That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh” (Act 2:16,17) If we were in the Last Days then, almost 2000 Years ago, what are we in now? We can only conclude that Peter and the other disciples were living in the beginning of the Last Days while we, today, are living in the end of the Last Days.”…

… when something clicked and I ‘realized’ that (and, BTW, this is PURE conjecture on my part):

What if our calendar is supposed to be counting down?

What do I mean?

Well, we have been conditioned to be counting upwards all this time on our current calenders.

What if, we are supposed to be counting down? Jesus and the prophets always seem to make references to the last days and final days and end days, etc. If we are counting upwards, there are no final days, dig?!

Think of this scripture again:

“[B]eloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8)

Even if this is saying, in the context of the scriptures (in a simile perhaps?) that God’s promises will remain true no matter how long time passes by, it’s interesting to consider this could be an accurate representation of how time passes to God too.

So, if Jesus rose again (and we know HE did) on morning of the third day (of days), and theorizing that, perhaps this was also the end of the 4th day (of a thousand years) counting down, (with me so far?)…this would have been putting us, now, and the disciples, then, into the last 3 days (of a thousand years) for the earth

We are counting down, also because the devil knows he doesn’t have much time left – also scriptural… trust me or read it for yourselves:

Revelations 12:12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” (New International Version)

Anyway, Jesus’ reign of a thousand years being the last day ( of thousands of years) in which all enemies – including death – has been out under Jesus’ feet. He will then hand over the ‘purified earth’ to His Father YHVH coming down in The New Jerusalem…at the end of The FINAL DAY (of days, of the past thousand years)the seventh ‘day’ of rest…beginning The Eighth day (of thousand years) or a ‘new day’…day 1 on the new earth…

…if we were in The Countdown…just a thought.

That was fun?! Cheers!
